Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has released the official notification for the Selection of Design Trainees/Management Trainees - 2026 through Advertisement No. HAL/CHRC-TM/RECT-02/2026. A total of 120 vacancies have been announced, including 60 Design Trainee (DT) and 60 Management Trainee (MT) posts across various engineering disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent, acquired on a Regular/Full Time basis from a recognized University/Institution in the country under the 10+2+4 pattern.
- Candidates possessing Part Time/Correspondence/E-learning/Distance Education courses are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates possessing a 5-year Integrated Degree in the notified discipline/branch of Engineering are also eligible to apply.
- Final Year/Final Semester candidates may also apply, subject to securing the prescribed aggregate percentage up to the last semester/year at the time of applying.

Age Limit Details
- Upper age limit is 28 years as on 14-08-2026 for UR & EWS category.
- Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Upper age limit relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- Upper age limit relaxable by 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs).
Placement & Emoluments
- Training Period: 52 weeks of theoretical and On-the-Job training at various locations.
- Stipend during training: Basic Pay of ₹50,000, plus Variable Dearness Allowance and Canteen Allowance. Bachelor Accommodation is also admissible.
- After Absorption: On successful completion of training, Trainees will be absorbed as Engineers in the Grade-II Scale of Pay of ₹50,000 - ₹1,60,000, with eligibility for Basic Pay, Variable DA, Performance Related Pay, Medical Facilities, PF, Gratuity, etc.
